Salagrama Shila - how to get it?
A very common question - Can Salagrama be bought or sold? How does one acquire a Salagrama for aradhana? Swamiji replied to the question as follows:
"SALAGRAMA SILA IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FORM OF LORD LAKSHMINARAYANA ONLY. SO GOD CANNOT BE SOLD OR BOUGHT. IF SOMEONE HAS WITH THEM YOU CAN HAVE IT FROM THEM. WHEN WE WENT TO NEPAL, SOMEBODY GAVE SOME SALAGRAMAS TO US. WE BROGHT THEM AND KEPT THEM IN SITANAGARAM AND AT JAGGAIHPET ALSO. IF SOMEONE COMES THERE, THEY CAN HAVE ONE FOR ARADHANA."
Ironically on the web there are websites that actually sell the Salagrama Shila for some amount of money. I wonder if the sellers even know the importance of such a stone and how it can be sold and shipped by mail. There are so many things we are ignorant of and we will never learn until someone pops the questions to a learned scholar like HH. ¶ 9:59 PM 0 comments
